The Ayrshire Ashet, which was first introduced on the menu at nearby Culzean Castle by my friend & former colleague Debbie Dalrymple, is a cold platter and ideal for sharing, with a tempting selection of traditional cold cuts and cheeses served with artisan breads, Scottish oatcakes and a selection of preserves and pickles. See our Ayrshire Ashet Menu for full details. Seafood, or cheese only options can be available by prior arrangement.
We offer the Ayrshire Ashet to our guests as an alternative to dining out if you simply don't want the bother of getting ready to go out to dine after a long day or tiring journey, or if you would just prefer a lighter dining option in the comfort of an armchair in our inviting drawing room or in the privacy of your bedroom.
We are not licensed but if you would like to enjoy a bottle of your own wine or a glass of something strong with it, we are happy to provide glasses and ice if required. Alternatively we can serve you tea, coffee and a choice of soft drinks from our menu.
The Ayrshire Ashet can be prepared and delivered to your room later in the evening awaiting your return from a late function or event if you wish.
